Harbor Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning, Inc. was established in 1996 by mother and son, Marian Hayes and Dean Prince. After many years in the carpet cleaning industry as a certified technician for other companies, Dean decided it was time to branch out on his own.

When we established our business our first and foremost goal was to create a "bond" with our clients; we wanted each and every one of them to feel as though they were the "most special people on earth" as in reality they are! So we set out to meet that goal one day at a time, one client at a time!

One very important way we accomplish this goal is with client education. It is extremely important that the customer realizes the value of their carpeting and we work hard at giving them the information they need to protect their investment in their floor coverings. Believe it or not, carpeting is the largest financial investment a family makes in their home outside of the cost of the home itself. Isn't it worth protecting that investment?

Harbor Home Beautiful - many times over the first nine years we were in business, our clients would request a referral to a reputable house cleaning company. Usually the question would go something like this: "Do you possibly know ANY housecleaning company here in the Harbor that provides the quality of service that Harbor Carpet does?" We tried referring different companies that we were familiar with, but almost 100% of the time, the client would call back to say that they were unhappy with the service provided and that it might be wise not to recommend these companies in the future. Finally we decided to "bite the bullet" and start a housecleaning division. This we did in 2004.
